Where Did 2025 Go?

It’s September 9. Crazy, right?

Hey there!

Just last December, I was talking with a colleague about how fired up we were for 2025. We had our goals written out, felt focused, and were determined to crush the year.

Here’s what I had on my list back then:

  • Raise at least $5M for multifamily deals – Not yet
  • Own 100 doors – Not even close
  • Earn $250,000 personal income – Came up short
  • Reach $400,000 combined income with Kaitlyn – Still possible
  • Pay off $75,000 in consumer debt – On track
  • Buy a short-term rental in the U.S. – Pivoted to boutique hotels

Now, if you’re looking at this from the outside, you might call it a failure. Honestly, if I just judged myself by that list, I might think the same.

But here’s the truth: 2025 has been my best year yet. And I’m more excited than ever to finish strong.

Why? Because I went into this year with a vision—and visions evolve. Goals are markers along the way, but the vision is the North Star. The road has been bumpy, and I’ve had to adjust, but every step has moved me closer to the life I actually want to build.

Maybe I overshot in some areas. Maybe I was a little naïve. But what I really did was step back, look at the big picture, and ask: Where do I want my life to go, and how do I want to get there? That clarity changed everything.

Entrepreneurship isn’t a straight line from vision to success. It’s winding, unpredictable, and full of lessons. But if you know where you want to end up, you’ll always find your way back to the path.

So here’s what I want you to take from this:

  1. There are still four months left in 2025. There’s plenty of time to make moves and finish strong.
  2. If your goals have shifted, that doesn’t mean you’ve failed. It means you’re evolving.

Keep reassessing, keep pushing, and keep showing up as the best version of yourself.

If you needed to hear this today, I hope it landed. I’m rooting for you.
