
Expanding Your Reach (Pt. 1)

Hey there!
Yesterday, a colleague gave me one of the best compliments I’ve heard in a long time. He said he loved what I was doing and the mission I’m on. Wipes tears. He was referring to my presence on social media and the consistency it takes to show up every day.
The funny thing is, I’ve never been a social media guy. Other than the odd vacation photo or a few pictures of my dogs, I didn’t pay much attention to it. I didn’t love being on camera and honestly thought, “Who really cares what I have to say?”
That changed this year when I decided to expand my reach. As entrepreneurs, our biggest goal is to get people to pay attention to what we’re building because that attention leads to business. Whether it’s real estate, online products, or even vacuum sales, showing up for your ideal client is something you can’t afford to ignore.
So, I made a commitment to get uncomfortable and start posting consistently. At first, it sucked. The filming sucked, the lighting sucked, and the content… let’s just say it wasn’t great. But I knew it was a necessary step if I wanted to attract new clients and investors.
When I look back now at some of those early posts, I cringe (yes, there’s even one of me in the shower, don’t ask). But the difference between then and now is night and day. The more I practiced, the more confident I became.

Weekly Social Media Plan (for Instagram):
- 3 Reels: Show who you are and what you do.
- 1 Carousel Post: People love swiping through valuable insights or story sequences.
- 1 Static Post: A photo of you, your workspace, or a local spot you love.
With every post, aim to educate, inspire, or showcase your personality. Don’t worry about perfection. Don’t overthink it. Just start.
