How To Make Your Big Dream Actually Happen

Hey there!
Yesterday we talked about BHAGs, Big Hairy Audacious Goals, those bold, exciting visions that stretch what you think is possible. If you missed it, the short version is this: your BHAG should be so big it makes you a little uncomfortable to even say it out loud.
But here’s the thing. Big goals are useless without a plan to get there. You can’t just declare a BHAG and hope it happens. You have to reverse engineer it.
That’s what I want to talk about today.
When I work on my own goals, I start with the end in mind and work backward. Let’s say your BHAG is to build a million-dollar business, buy ten properties, or live part-time in another country. Whatever it is, ask yourself:
• What would need to happen in the next 3 years to make that a reality?
• What would I need to accomplish in the next 12 months to be on track?
• What habits or actions could I take in the next 90 days to create momentum?
Suddenly that huge, audacious dream starts looking a lot more doable.
The mistake most people make is trying to tackle everything at once. They look at the mountain instead of the next step. But progress compounds, and consistency beats intensity every time.
Here’s what I’d suggest doing today: grab a notebook and write your BHAG at the top of the page. Then break it into three sections, 3 years, 12 months, 90 days. List a few key actions under each.
You don’t need a 40-page business plan. You just need clarity on your next few moves.
Remember, big dreams don’t come to life overnight. They come to life one clear, intentional step at a time.
Til tomorrow,
Ryan
